Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrival in Marrakech. A Jibal representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our accommodation. Settle in and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the city. In the evening, we gather for a group dinner and a comprehensive briefing to ensure everyone is perfectly prepped for the Atlas Mountains.

Marrakech to Imlil. After breakfast, we depart for the village of Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas. Following check-in and a traditional lunch at our guesthouse, we begin an acclimatization hike to the Tawdja Summit (2,600m).

Imlil to Toubkal Refuge. After breakfast, we begin our trek toward the Jbel Toubkal refuge. The trail climbs gradually through the valley, passing the picturesque village of Armed before giving way to the rugged, mineral landscapes of the high mountains. We arrive at the refuge (3,200m) with plenty of time to rest and prepare for summit day.

Toubkal Refuge to Summit to Imlil. We start before dawn for the ascent of Jbel Toubkal (4,167m), the highest peak in North Africa. The challenging route crosses steep rocky slopes, rewarding our effort with spectacular summit views over the Atlas Mountains and the plains of southern Morocco. After celebrating our achievement, we descend back to the refuge for a break before continuing all the way down to Imlil.

Imlil to Marrakech. We trade the high peaks for the vibrant energy of Marrakech. Spend the day exploring the colorful labyrinth of the medina, discovering local artisans in the bustling markets, and soaking up the rich cultural history of the city. We wrap up our adventure with a celebratory group dinner, sharing stories of the mountain.

Depart Marrakech. We transfer you to the airport for your flight back home. You leave with incredible memories and a new group of friends. Safe travels until the next adventure.
