Leaving the chaos of Kathmandu behind. A rugged 4x4 drive takes us deep into the Budhi Gandaki valley, where the pavement ends and the adventure truly begins.
We cross the first of many suspension bridges. We enter the Manaslu Conservation Area, trekking through sub-tropical forests to the stone-paved streets of Jagat.
We follow the river today and soak in the beauty. We navigate deep gorges and bamboo forests, crossing the Budhi Gandaki as the valley begins to narrow and the air turns crisp.
Today we take on a steep climb rewards you with your first glimpses of the high peaks. The landscape shifts—mani walls and prayer flags signal our entry into the heart of Tibetan culture.
We wake up to the sight of Manaslu’s twin peaks. We trek to Lho, a village situated near a massive monastery and the most dramatic sunset views on the circuit.
Reach the foot of the "Mountain of the Spirit." Samagaon is our high-altitude sanctuary, a sprawling stone village where tradition has remained unchanged for centuries.
Acclimatization is the secret to the success. Today we push our limits with a climb to Manaslu Base Camp 4,800m.
A short, sharp trek to Samdo, the last proper village before the pass. You’re now in the high alpine zone, surrounded by yaks and the silence of the giants.
Ascend to Dharamsala. This is the staging ground. Tonight, we sleep at 4,460m, preparing our minds and bodies for the 3:00 AM push to the Larkya La.
This is it the big day! Today we challenge ourselves as we conquer the 5,160m pass. At the prayer-flag-strewn summit, the world opens up and we soak in the the view. A grueling, triumphant descent leads to the forests of Bimthang.
Today we trade the glaciers for the rhododendron flowers. A long, beautiful descent through pristine wilderness brings us to Dharapani, where our circuit connects with the Annapurna trail.
We board the jeeps for the winding drive back to Kathmandu. As we watch the Himalayas recede in the rearview mirror, knowing you’re returning a different person than you left with new memories and .
We spend our final morning in Kathmandu to recover, and shop for souvenirs before heading to the airport. Taking with you the mountains and the new friends you've made.
